  This statute covers general commitments for persons in need of court ordered treatment for mental illness, mental retardation, or chemical dependency. Also contained in the general provisions is language pertaining to persons considered to be mentally ill and dangerous to the public.
  Specific provisions relating to civil commitment of persons classified as Sexual Psychopathic Personality or Sexually Dangerous Persons begin at 253B.185.
